KBH Building Services is a successful construction company from London that has grown to more than 150 employees and annual revenues exceeding €30 million. This success is the result of hard work, a dedicated team, and strong expertise. Amid the hectic pace of day-to-day business, however, the brand itself had been treated as secondary. With their economic success and ambitions for further growth, it was time to reflect both their rapid expansion and their expertise as a construction service provider in a clear, consistent brand identity.

Challenges of a Brand Identity

KBH Haus faced a branding challenge that many fast-growing companies know all too well: no clear brand definition and a series of sub-brands (KBH Doors, KBH Windows, LA Rossar, KBH Inhouse Solutions, …) that had accumulated over time. Inconsistent brand design and limited public visibility created additional barriers that needed to be overcome in order to make the company attractive to new B2B clients in the future. In October 2023, KBH Building Services therefore approached us with the goal of a full brand realignment under the new name KBH Haus.

New Brand Guidelines: Build. Maintain. Innovate.

At uberneu, we embraced this challenge with enthusiasm. Through workshops and customer feedback, we shaped a new and strong brand direction. The final design reflects KBH’s professionalism and executional strength, and only six months later it was already rolled out across the entire company. All assets were bundled into an online brand book that contains everything needed for the creative and communicative realignment – from app icon design to target group definition.

It was a pleasure to support KBH in building their own brand identity and in developing their new website. We look forward with excitement to a strong partnership ahead.

Reviewing Brand Materials

Our first step was the comprehensive collection and review of KBH’s brand materials – from websites to signage – along with a competitor analysis. This initial assessment provided a clear overview of the current brand presence and its perception in the market.

Understanding the Problem

Through interviews with KBH stakeholders and customers, we deepened our understanding of the existing challenges. These conversations led to the creation of persona groups, which enabled us to define the needs and expectations of the brand.

Branding & Homepage Workshop

After gathering all the necessary information, we conducted a six-hour brand workshop with KBH. During this session, we defined three different brand scenarios and developed an initial framework for the new homepage. This collaborative work laid the foundation for three potential brand directions.

From Moodboards to Decision

Based on the workshop, we developed moodboards that illustrated different visual directions and tonalities. These visual scenarios helped KBH envision a new brand identity more clearly. A well-founded decision was then made together, supported by customer feedback.

Homepage Design & Project Management

The redesign of the homepage was also at the center of KBH’s digital brand communication. We designed the website and managed the project in collaboration with an external development team and photographers – with the goal of creating a flexible CMS that reflects the new KBH brand message online and unifies all previous brands into one consistent brand identity.

Brand Release 🎉

The highlight of the process was the launch of the new brand. A carefully planned rollout ensured that the renewed identity was communicated both internally at KBH and externally to the public. But this is only the beginning of a partnership with uberneu, in which we will continue to grow and scale the brand.
